AI tools for data fairness
- In earlier videos, we explored how bias can show up during data collection, analysis, and reporting. But what about the AI tools we use to analyze the data? How can we spot, measure and reduce bias in them before they cause harm? AI fairness tools help us examine how AI models behave and if certain groups are being treated unfairly. Many tools have been designed to detect bias within AI modeling. In this video, we will explore a few of them. Google's fairness indicators measure fairness in AI models by comparing how different groups are treated and shows the results in easy to read charts. It provides a number of metrics, including disparate impact and equal opportunity, which help evaluate how different demographic groups are affected by a model's predictions.
